Dreaming a ukulele dream
We had a luau on Friday evening - smoked some pork, had fun with friends and played some uke - good times indeed. Yesterday I picked up a M-audio Fasttrack usb "guitar/mic recording interface" to do some recordings (figured if I was asking other people to submit recordings I had better do some first) It seems to be a good box and I'll post a review after I have played with it a bit more. The first recording attempt has been uploaded to my player page. Have a listen!

If you sent me an email over the last couple of days and did not receive a response from me please resend it - I have been having some issues with an
over zealous spam filter. I think I revived most messages but if you did not hear back from me let me know! In additon to the changes mentioned below I'm also working on adding screenshots to the DVD reviews - when they are up I'll mention it here on the frontpage.

It has been an ehausting week. Along with the site revamp my wife and I have been working on remodeling a couple of rooms in our house. No matter how many ceiling fans you put up they are always a challenge... Finally today I had a few hours to sit down with the new Ralph Shaw DVD Essential Strums for the Ukulele! and a review is up in the DVD section. Also new is a CD section which will feature recordings that include ukulele in one way or another. The first review up is Snake Suspenderz - Preliminary Slither which I have had for some time now and still gets regular play.
I hopefully will go back and revisit a number of the reviews to add "longevity" and "can play this in front of people and they would recognize it" factors.

We're back... mostly
Well things are slowly coming back online here at Ukeland. Everything has been converted to super duper CGIs and style sheets to make updating/changing the site much easier, but can be a bit error prone at first so please stick with me :).
If you have any problems with the site please let me know at Zathras@ukeland.com. Also let me know what browser type and version you are using.
Sorry a number of the sections are blank but they are just to give you a taste of things to come.
I've got the new Essential Strums for the Ukulele! DVD sitting in front of me taunting me for the last couple of days while I have been working on the site so an initial review will be coming soon.
If you like the site please tell your friends - if you don't like it please don't tell your friends :)
